Jade did not speak as kindly as we all think we should. That just put a home truth on our doorsteps. She was very rude and the other two were not helping at all. If they couldn't manage to keep stum or discourage jade then they should have left the room. No I don't think Jade is or was a racist. I do think that some of the comments were racist but then they were all under a lot of pressure in that environment. Somebody was going to crack somewhere and it was Jade. Her little rant was just that, a rant. Us women have rants all the time because of delightful other people who wind us up every now and then. As to the others, Jermaine and co. it was mentioned at the time on a few of the late night chat and news shows and i think that they commented very fairly.
I think we should all learn a valuable lesson here. Some people don't think before they speak and others do. What may not offend you may offend someone else but then a sensible conversation should stem from this and apologies made, rather than big grand arguments with "racist" and "courts" being thrown into the conversational mix. We all have to learn to accept that other people don't always like what we do and that we should apologise for offending them NOT for liking it (whatever it may be).

Do you honestly think we have to choose between the two? Freedom of Speech allows a person to express racist thoughts. That doesn't mean a person expressing such thoughts must continue to be given a chance to express them on TV.
If a person's show being cancelled due to some unpopular statements is a violation of freedom of speech, then by the same logic, my freedom of speech is being denied EVEN MORE because I have NEVER had a TV program!
Am honestly have no idea who Jade is & what she said but I had to respond anyway.

Jade was not being racist it was just a clash of culture or class and no class or educated and uneducated a mixture of all three. It is true that White British can not say what they want and the Ethnic Minority can. Everyone has a voice and it is your on personal choice how you use it hopefully we have been taught a valuable lesson that once your voice is out there you can not take it back.

Jermaine is going to be questioned for the remark and Dirk will be asked about his Indians remark. Though that remark wasn't racist at all. If the UK cops keep it up, they will lose alot of non UK celebrity tourists. These 2 guys made remarks that were far from racist and don't even begin to compare with the Jade crew's treatment and comments.

I am no fan of Jade's but yes her punishment was much bigger than her crime. If a white person called someone black trash there most certainly would be trouble. I think you should take your concerns to is Big Brother or E4. I personally don't watch it much, but I have heard enough about it, to feel I have been watching it. You should complain to Big Brother as well as E4, the more complaints the more likely they are going to take your concerns seriously. By telling us isn't going to go so far, so take the complaint higher, and good luck with it.

i think that there has always been a worry about rasicm in the UK and i personally found in school it was mainly the white british being called on comments where as other races were left to it. Jade as everyone saw the first time in big brother has a habbit of opening her mouth before thinking and i dare anyone to say they have never said something in the heat of the moment after an argument.

It is alright saying we want freedom of speech but you do not go around being so horrible to people, what those three did was outright bullying. Bullying is rife in the schools and if adults find it amusing to be so nasty to someone who had not harmed them in any way then there is no hope for our poor kids.

Hmmm, well, one day the whole program was declared an unwatched ratings failure and the next, hey, its a big shocking racist show that EVERYONES talking about and watching....
A very cynical ratings grabber. Even that Indian lady who won said she didnt think Jade was a racist...the other day shopping I saw a magazine with the headline 'We HATE Jade'. Everybody involved in this should be ashamed of themselves-although they wont be, they are too busy counting the cash...

yes, excatly...people are called white trash but nobody says anything about that.it diesn't bother them & they don't make a fuss. I think all this Jade thnig was a publicity stunt, otherwise why did they bring jade back? why did the ratings go up? (I used to not give BB a 2d look but I started paying a bit of attention...
it's very obvious, & I bet jade got loads of money for it.
