I had a c-section 7 weeks ago to deliver my baby girl. I was in labor for 18 hours after being induced. I had a epidural which had to be taken out and reinserted 4 times. When my labor failed to progress we decided upon a c-section. Now I have serious problems with my right thigh. I get sharp stabbing ains, rushes of heat and it feels as if my skin has been burnt. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you know the cause? Thank-You.

Like others said, it's definately time to see a doctor. This isn't "common recovery symptoms" and even if it turns out to not be a big deal, your baby girl will be glad to have a healthy mommy, so go see your doctor as soon as you can.

You didn't mention a painful red lump on your leg in the spot where it hurts the most which is the #1 indicator of a blood clot, but it's still a possibility and those can be lethal, so you definately want to go see your doctor asap!

good luck, and congrats on your baby girl!

I have shooting pains that go down my entire right leg and burning feelings at times, it is my sciatic nerve, you can go to your Dr. and see what he can offer you, you may need to increase exercises or increase water intake. Maybe both! It might be a problem you will have to deal with for quite some time, I still deal with it and my son is 14, I go to a chiropractor on a regular schedule and that helps some and walking helps.

You should seek medical attention. It is possible that you have developed a clot in your leg, a life threatening condition. Or you had some nerve damage from your epidural. At any rate you need to seek medical attention.

Its not a blood clot. Its sounds more like nerve damage. But the good thing is you can move your extremity which means it will most likely epair its self. See your doctor ASAP to be sure

It could be called sciatica which is near your back hip area and can cause you to have shooting pain down your leg. I would go to the doctor as soon as you can just to make sure its not due to complications from the C-section.

Generally speaking it's a blood clot and you can have a stroke from that. Please talk to a doctor.

This is one of the things in my "manual" here from the hospital that it tells me to look for to go into emergency right away if it happens.
