Ginza is a world famous shopping area in Tokyo famous not really for it's shopping, but for how expensive everything is that you can buy there. I went there quite a few times because my friend worked there, but I didn't go into any of the really expensive shops. That didn't really interest me that much, that did interest me however was the wall of stores going down the main street in Ginza and all the neon lights at night time. Very neat to look at. Supposedly there are also many great coffee shops in Ginza. I went to one or two and they were very nice but really just like any other coffee shop. Did the coffee taste better because I drank it in one of the most pricey places in the world? I don't know, try it for yourself sometime. Ginza is great for shopping though if you have some money to spend, and you're not too thrifty. Most of Tokyo's most high end, classy department stores are located in Ginza, like Mitsukoshi and Matsuzakaya.
