It's not a fair comparison. No question it is Kobe. You might get some arguments if you compare Kobe and Jordan. But Kobe and Pippen. No arguments.

Pippen came within ONE game of the NBA finals the year after MJ left, so he can obviously carry a team. There will never be a better all-around player than Scottie Pippen, and he was probably the best defender the league has ever seen. It's hard to say who's better - Kobe is the guy you'd want in crunchtime, but if you were building a team from scratch that's a tougher call. We'll have to see if Kobe continues his maturation. He would have never won a championship with Shaq and I don't know if he could have taken his team as far as Pippen did.

Kobe. Pippen pretty much fell on his face when he left Chicago and could not carry Portland. Kobe, at least is carrying LA without the likes of Shaq.

What do you mean by better? For a team to win, I'd take Pippen. He plays defense. Kobe only cares about his stats and if there is a chick waiting at his hotel.

Your Kidding right, although I hate Kobe, he is the best player in the NBA right now, and is probably gong to be in the top ten in NBA history. Your comparing him to Pippen, when stat analysts and sports comulnists have been comparing him to Jordan for the past ten years. How stupid can you be?
