I would stick with pastel colors for the eyeshadow: lavender, light pink, light blue, or else no eyeshadow at all. Or maybe a gold or silver color. If you're going to wear eyeliner, go light on it & don't wear eyeshadow. Maybe try blue or purple eyeliner as opposed to the more common black. If you choose to wear eyeshadow, use a light coat of black mascara. If you use the colored eyeliner, use a matching mascara to go with it. Whatever you choose for your eyes, make it subtle. White is a very bold statement for a gown so don't go too heavy on the eye makeup. Stick to light colors & pastels. And as for the rest of your face, use a light pink blush & light pink lip gloss. Always go with light pink shades for your lips & cheeks when you're wearing white.

As for the hair, I would go to a professional salon & ask them for ideas on how to wear your hair. It's their job so they know what they're doing.

If your going to be on stage you need heavy makeup because you will look washed out on stage. If this is a non-glitz pageant I don't mean makeup like this:

You will want makeup heavier than street makeup.
MAC is a good product because it is meant for being under heavy lighting. You should do like a smoky eyes, eyeliner, mascara, etc. Be sure to wear lots of mascara. You will have to wear foundation powder and blush. As for your hair it all the depends on your dress. If it's it's slimming look wear your hair in like a french twist. If it's a ballgown, wear your hair half up half down.

Id stick too a very light purple eyeshadow and barely put it on a lip stick that almost matches your lips would work too. Id go with out blush its looks better on most people that way. You should do your hair in a fancy up-do especially you want to look sophisticated. Thats just my opinion thoughyou do what you feel is best.

Stick to neutral shades and you can't go wrong. But if you are what you call a "risky" person, try gold, shimmering brown, light purple, and deep blue. Apply a coat of mascara. Go with pink blush, NOT peach-ish blush. It's going to make you look akward. Then apply pink-ish lip gloss and YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!
