taxing is not the solution,if we were to stop buying produce from companies that move their manufacturing to countries that use fossil fuels and enviromentely destructive manufacturing processes.and we used more efficient and clean methods of producing energy and build a fuel efficient public transport system that actualy works then we would have no need for a "green tax"

HOLD ON HERE!!!

Currently we pay virtually no tax on our flights, yet we pay through the nose for our petrol and other transport - I genuinely believe that is should be more level, and this is a step in the right direction.

There is no other county in the world where you can buy a 1000 mile flight for £23.50

Stop whinging and start thinking about the environmen

If we (& our many twin countries out there) stop all our positive initiatives like you want us to - there will be no human race left by 2100 - how can you justify that? We have the choice today, do we want to completely wreck our planet, or do we want to fix the problem - starting yesterday, we cannot allow any country to get away with such irresponsible behaviour any more.

I"ve said it before and I"ll say it again, our carbon emissions relate to 3% of Global emissions.

If we cut them to zero, it would not make one scrap of difference Globally.

It is just an excuse for that money grabbing Scot to extract even more tax from us, and he is to be the next Prime Minister, God help us all.

the international economic device is according to opposition, i.e diverse economies competing with one yet another together as concurrently working with one yet another. by using fact that economies sink or swim by potential of overcoming one yet another, the comprehensive thought of a international new deal could fail miserably. everybody can no longer win, that is purely impossible. to boot, Browns plan could have self belief in all the international's financial gamers agreeing to artwork together in stable faith. what number people have self belief that OPEC could voluntarily shop the fee of oil low just to help us out? anybody? you spot, the priority with a international economic device is that it turns into like a sequence, and in basic terms one link needs to make a screw up for each individual else to fall. this is why international government is a foul thought. that is plenty safer for all persons to be in our own boats.

The only purpose of these "green" taxes is to put money in the hands of the politicians and kill the economy.
