NO. taking a diuretic during this time can cause serious problems with eletrolytes. It can put your whole system out of whack and is very dangerous thing to do. You should only take these medications as directed by your doctor. Some of these diuretics will get rid of potassium a n electrolyte that is very important for your heart. If you lose to much potassium you can have serious heart problems leading up to heart attacks.

depending if a person retains water in her legs that is because her kidneys are not working at all that is all i know
