If every moment of our life is known and planned from birth to death then I suppose anything we do is in line with that plan.

I'm Christian and definitely don't think that God decides when we'll die, but does often know when we'll die. Because God gave mankind free agency, most of the time it is a result of the decisions of the individual or another individual which brings about death, not God. Although God can take or preserve a life. So, because we are left to choose, it is a very important thing to utilize whatever resources we have, including medicine.

Well, God made the doctor's and gave them the knowledge to make the medicine, so yeah religion does support treatment.

Having cancer doesn't mean it is your time. Dang!! Going through it is a trial of life just like anything else. It may also be the time and God is giving you the opt to turn to Him and even look to appreciate what you had. Don't know what you got, 'til it's gone. You'll see.

Why would you think that God wouldn't factor all of that in? If God decided that you were going to die at a certain time, also, do you honestly believe anyone is going to be able to stop it?

Religious people generally accept that we should do everything we can to cure sick people, because that is God's will too. But some religions reject some types of cure. Jehovah's Witnesses, for example, reject blood transfusions as against God's will, and I presume transplants as well.

I think that there are people out there who defenetly deny medicine for one reason or another. Personally y think it is great and perfectly fine to take medicines even if they better your life, no matter how relegious you are.

If they receive medication and survive, it was obviously not their time to go. We should do what we can to preserve life and let God make the final decision
