I know what it does, but I have seen different types...can you help me further?

Ok, this is a real simple explanation.
A condom looks like a water balloon, although is slightly bigger the majority of times :)
The condom fits over the mans private part, and will collect the ' we will call it milky substance ' that comes out . It collects in the condom , so it does not go into his partner.
You can get different types of condoms , glow in the dark , edible etc etc, dont know why , I guess, If you get hungry , and the power goes out , you can eat ur assests :)

they are round, and long, like the shape of a penis. They may look to small to fit, but they stretch. They are lubricated (slippery) so they can slide down the penis easy. They have a tip on the end of them to make room for the semen to go into, you are suppose to pinch this part of the condom when putting it on, so you don't get air bubbles around the penis inside the condom, this may cause it to come off or break at the end. When a man ejaculates the semen goes in the condoms tip instead on inside the woman, so you don't have babies.

it prevents you from pregnancy..the semen is not able to pass into the vaginal tract..
