I want one really bad! I am 14 and I deserve one. How do I ask? Don't tell me that I don't need one if you are not 14. You dont know what its like.

Find some sort of job and ask if you can purchase a prepaid one yourself. Or wait until you're 18 and legally able to enter into a contract.

My girls have cell phones (age 12/13) and I got them because I needed to keep in contact with them. If you're responsible then I think you should have one. Let your parents know that it's a way for them to keep up with you when you're out with friends or if there's an emergency you have a way of getting hold of them. Try to show them all the benefits of having the phone, not just to talk to your friends and maybe they'll get you one. Also suggest a prepaid one if they don't want to get into a contract. Oh and if you do decide to show them the benefits, make sure that it's well thought out. They will then see how mature you are.

My granddaughter has one because when she's out, her father & mother want her to be safe. With the phone she can call 911 if anything were to happen. But, she had to agree to not going over a certain amount of calls.
