You're right, but I'm not sure how to answer because it's not a question. Racism is a touchy subject for many people, but you're only partially right that it's a learned behavior. I grew up with parents who taught me to love and accept people for what is inside them. After being on my own and living in Landover MD for 2 years, that was a difficult thing for me to do, because I was judged everyday for being a white girl, I stood out and hated even going to the store because of the looks I got. So I went through a period of being racist myself, because of how I was treated by black people when I lived in THEIR city. But I the other hand I got to see how it feels to be on the other side, to be a "minority" So I can appreciate what you mean by racism does not discriminate.
Now I live in a town with a very broad mix of races. And I'm very glad that I got to experience being on the receiving end of it, because I don't think I would be who I am if I hadn't.

I agree racism does come in many colors, and the most of us fall victim to it one way or another, incuding you and i, i was raised to be opened minded, i try as hard as i can, i can see where a black man wouldnt like the confederate flag or rednecks that shove racial overtones up their noses, but now imagine for a moment that youre white, you drive through a predominately black neighborhood, there are bars on the windows, crack deals going down, high priced security systems on their vehicles and a group of strong able bodied men sitting on milk crates on a monday morning in front of the local store, where i dare not stop at in fear for my safety, keep in mind that im 6foot 1 inches tall and can bechpress almost 400 lbs, also why arent they working?? i worked in air conditioning for years, the one job i remember was on martin luther king blvd at a community center, i was robbed, they broke into my car, we had to lock ourselves into the buildings and had to have a police escort to enter and exit the doors, this opened my eyes, i started to pay a little more attention to the news, its all black crimes, with an occasional white person, turn on the black comedy which i enjoy its funny, but i dont enjoy every other joke being about whites, when its the other way around you better get ready to fight, this to me is ignorance, there are more opportunities for blacks and women than for the white man, getting a loan for example the term minority applies when it comes to black female or hispanic, and there are programs, there arent any for me, i cant get the loan even with the same credincials(spelling) getting the job, they call it equel opportunity, and dont hire me because im white,i have no organization supporting my behalf, naacp, civil liberties union, equel rights, and no disrespect intended to you sir, your comment is about racist hanging out here, you are here as well, i only go to polls and general i foundt your question asking why no answers? so i am giving you my opinion from someone different than you, im not going to lie and say that my best friend is black , but i do know alot of black men and women, my daughters friend michelle is black and the kids take turns spending the nights at each others houses and yes i would spend my last dying breathe protecting her, but i have foundt by observation of black people in general that most are extremely racist, and have different ways in which they conduct themselves, ive lived in my town for 30 years i have 12 12" woofers in an explorer and i listen to rap music, and in my 30 years ive installed thousands of stereos in cars for whites blacks and mexicans, and can honestly say with an open mind that there are 10 sorry hateful ignorant disrespectful black men to every one upstanding black man as yourself, so look at this racism thing with more of an open mind and think really hard about who is actually stirring the pot and fueling the fire, good day to you sir

I'm totally with you...racism is a result of some serious low self esteem and lack of proper family support...

The question is worded in a way that most people are not comfortable with and that would include me as well.

Makes alot of sense the way you put it. Hopefully you will change some peoples minds on how they judge people by the color of their skin.

I think they should ship racists, along with all the blacks, to an island and let this country breath again.
Wait a minute! if they ship blacks to an island then you wouldn't have to ship off the racists.
