Can a cap from a toggle switch, on a gibson SG, be taken off?

I bought a different colored cap for the toggle switch on my SG but I pulled it pretty hard and wouldn't come off. Do these things come off or do I have to just pull it harder. I don't want to damage the switch. Thanks.

hmmm, i haven't tried unscrewing it. that's probably how it comes off haha. thanks for that.

i am pretty sure you have to unscrew it

You unscrew it. Then lose it. Then have a guitar without one.

call or visit a guitar center for advice b4 you break anything!
