From the top of my head:

down
4 - Basalt
6 - Conduit
9
16 Composite

across
12 Continental Drift
15 Obsidian
16 Crater
19 Pumice

Aaaaah, I just got 9 down after looking up several synonyms - FLUID :) Should have got that sooner.

Hope they all fit! Oh yeah and I hope I did the correct crossword as your link didn't work properly.

Hi, I did a couple of these... they were actually kind of fun. GEOLOGY RULES. Here's the answers (mostly) to volcano crossword #1.

Down:
4 - BASALT
6 - CONDUIT
9 - ???????
16 - COMPOSITE

Across:
12 - CONTINENTALDRIFT
15 - OBSIDIAN
16 - CRATER
19 - PUMICE

I'm sorry about #9, but I have no idea what that could be based on the clue provided. All I can say is that it is "_ _ U _ D"

EDIT:
Ahhh, FLUID, of course. If you do any of the other crosswords I've got those done too. They were all much easier than this one.

No. Australia is the only continent (Africa, Asia, Europe, Antarctica, Australia, America - north and south) without any active volcanoes... There are extinct ones around - unknown if there are any in Penrith...
