He played memorably in a few classic 70s films (that I know of), The Godfather parts 1 & 2, Dog Day Afternoon and The Deerhunter, and then nothing, or at least nothing as big. Does anybody know of what other work he did in film, on TV or on stage, whether he is still alive, what he's doing now, and anything else you know of.

He died of Bone Cancer on March 12,1978

I read not too long ago that Cazale developed (brain?) cancer during filming for 'The Deer Hunter', though he did not disclose such information until the picture had been finished. I don't think he made it long enough to view the film when it was released though.

he died at the age of 42 shortly after the deer hunter, he also appeared in the conversation.
