Like - Duran Duran (named after a villain in Barbarella)
Thomson twins (after 2 from Tin TIn)
The police, Human league, heaven 17 (only for temptation)m Madness, Queen.
Beatiful south were just ok,
did not like the others, especially simply red.

Human League, Queen and Madness are by far the best of the ones you mentioned. The three have stood the test of time. Duran Duran and the Police are okay (not my favorites) but people still love them. Thompson Twins, ABC, Spandau Ballet, and Heaven 17 are four of my faves, but not too popular anymore. I never cared for Level 42 or Wham much, and while I respect Luther, didn't like him much either. Michael Jackson and Simply Red can go bonk themselves for all I care.
Decent list, but mine would have The Jam, Style Council, Specials, The Selecter, The Pogues, Depeche Mode, the Cure, New Order, and Kirsty Maccoll, because I always thougth she was hot.

not a very good list, no really good eighties bands there except maybe the beautiful south. duran duran, michael jackson and ABC are okay but the rest are dreadful. good choices though if you're looking to make an indentikit 'best of the eighties' CD
