You work with paint and never read the label about precautions.

No it is deftinitely NOT safe to work with latex paints, it causes birth defects and deformities with enough exposure.

According to the warning label on the can of latex paint I bought for the baby's nursery, it says that it contains some harmful substance which if inhaled over long periods, can harm the unborn baby.

It is true there is no lead in it, but there are other very harmful susbtances in it. READ THE LABEL!

I would consult your Dr., but for now make sure you are in a well ventilated area at all times while at work.

Yes; they do not put lead in high concentrations in paint anymore; just make sure the area is well ventilated.

Latex paint in a well ventilated room should be fine. Please stay away from the oil paint. Good luck.
