my favorite teacher of all times was my gym teacher when i was a kid, she believed in me while i was a fat kid...
she most certainly would not remember me, did not remember me to be exact, since i saw her last fall in a party and tried reminding her of myself, she did not even fake remembering me!
it was heart breaking..
but I'm over it now :-)
i'm a teacher myself and i will try my very best never to forget my kids :-)

My favorite teacher in the whole world was Mrs. Martha McDonald. The most memorable thing in the world was when we were discussing slavery (she taught history) and someone asked why nursemaids were called Mammy's. She explained about Mammary glands producing milk...to a group of 8Th graders, in an extremely small town in Oklahoma. Most teachers would have gotten fired for that. Yes she remembers all her students. I graduated 21 years ago and she knew me when I saw her last week. She is an amazing woman. When we had our 20th class reunion we had a float in the Homecoming Parade.. she was there on the sidelines and we all stood up and screamed "HI MRS. MCDONALD!!!!!!!!!" She loved it. Her name isn't even McDonald anymore..but everyone still calls her that.
Thank you for reminding me of her tonight.

My High school Speech Teacher and yes she would remember me. She opened the world of drama to me as a high school Junior. She offered me the part of Simon Peter in The Robe, I was only 1 of 2 people not triple cast, due to such a large number of people wanting to be in the play. I was selected due to my height. This experience ultimately led to a 20th Century Fox scholarship to the Pasadena Playhouse in the 50's

He was also a member of the school choir which i was also a member of...during practise and events you would never have known he was a teacher...
sadly this was many years ago and he is now dead..but he did remember me every and if i ever saw him after he always said hello and remembered my name years and years after leaving school.
