I give both. people who answer stupidly get thumbs down....it just sorts em out for later....when I have to pick best answer....and I don't want to read their dumb response again.....don't call me brutal........it's just life.

Well, you could. if someone takes the time to answer you question, they may not have given you a good answer, or the one you were looking for. Or, they may have given you an extraordinary answer!! One that provides TONS, and TONS or information! Usuallly, what I do, is, if the answer is good and well said/answered, I give them a thumbs up. If the answer is bad, contains inappropriate language, has nothing to do with the question, or, just makes no sense, or says, "i don't know". I give them a thumbs down.
