Its not a layout fault, you may envision on the record permissions for the data you attempt to delete. It feels like they're secure in case you are able to not un-verify the ‘locked’ verify container while ‘get information’ is invoked (or in case you are able to yet you nonetheless have un-deletable data), then open trash and shop on with the direction interior the folder(s) to the tip record/folder that has a tiny padlock on the backside left. Then, ‘get information’ for that particular one and un-verify the locked container. do this for each individual record/folder (yep, its a discomfort) and you will magically be able to empty the trash. i think of the terminal script way (printed in different locations, such through fact the Mac website) doesn’t continually artwork through fact the path direction wasn’t particular to the guy lock. I additionally think of the shortcut you ought to use by pressing the ‘cmd’ key + ‘alt/selection’ key + ‘i’ to get different record tips unexpectedly (then clicking liberate) doesn’t continually artwork for the same path direction reason. If the above helps only one guy or woman it is going to likely be incredibly worth it as I too have suffered the discomfort of dealing with a shed load of techniques that don’t artwork :)

Right click on the icon, and choose get info. You should be able to unlock the item, unless it was put on the desktop by some other user and you don't have admin rights.
