I have just asked the question about legal separation, but I did not realize that I forgot to ask for another advice. My husband and I agreed he either give me a lump sum in a form of check or he will buy a house in my name. If he gives a check does he have to gove it to me in the lawer's presence? Also what if my husband tells the lawyer he will buy a house, and the lawyer will include his promise in the Separation Agreement, but later my husband change his mind. What can I do then?

Thanks again.

Anything he says in front of a lawyer is not binding, its what is put into writing. If he says i will buy her a house of xyz amount in xyz amount of time and changes his mind or just cant or wont, and its in legal documentation that's gone before a judge and approved he is in contempt and will be punish or forced to buy the house. As far as money someone else said it a large amount of money means alot of taxes taken out, I'd be Leary of that idea. Talk to you lawyer see what they say would be best.
