help me please.

when i was in Gym today i fell when we were playing soccer. i fell on my knee. it hurt a lot right when i got up and when i got home my knee still hurt but it felt a little better. i didnt go to the nurse. what can i do for my knee

any answers from doctors nurses or paramedics would be helpful

Best thing to do is apply ice to the injury for about 20 mins every couple of hours for the first 24 hours, then after that you want to apply heat, every couple of hours for about 20 mins or so. Be careful to place a towel between the ice and your skin. Be careful not to freeze the skin. You may want to do this with heat also, just be careful not to burn yourself.
If you ca not walk on the injured knee, go get an xray at your nearest ER

You might try taking a pain reliever (check with your parent or guardian first). Ibuprofen works pretty well, but don't take aspirin until you turn 18.

Another option might be to try applying ice to your knee. Be sure to wrap the ice pack in a cloth or towel first, so you don't cause your skin to become too cold.

It usually helps to stay off your knee for awhile, and rest for a bit.

Be sure to talk with your parents or guardian and get their advice, too.

If you can't put any weight on your leg, and are having trouble walking, you might want to talk to your parents or guardian about seeing a doctor.

-Why don't you consult a doctor or go to ER maybe you could have the best help.Put an ice cap and took a pain reliever then go to the doctor so he could examine and you may undergo x-ray.OK next time please be careful OK.
