Hip-hop culture has stupid people believing that it's okay to sling around a word and get pissed off when other people say it. I find that ridiculous. If you're going to be a fool and say it yourself, don't get mad at a white person or an Asian person when they decide to say it as well. Either everyone can say it or no one can say it. That should be it.

It's a kind of sick "self hate". Despite the n-word being prohibited, and the majority of people not being racist toward blacks, some blacks are racist to themselves. They heared racism from their friends, parents and TV so many times, that it actually starts to sink in.... It sinks in to the extent where they almost WANT to call themselves the n-word.
Many people will diagree with me, but it is very true. The same thing is happening with Jews quite often. I am a Jew and I've seen it personally on some occasions.
One day I was in college, and this girl in my class who is Jewish was talking about how stupid/clumsy she is... So her way of saying this was something like " The DUMB JEW that I am, I actually went and did.... "insert in the blank". I dont remember the exact phrase but the 1st part of the sentence is 100% correct.
It was so disgusing, that our black teacher actually told her that "this wasnt a very nice thing to say".
Some blacks have taken this thing, and twisted it in another direction... They actually go as far as to call white people the n-word. (Mabe to lift the burden off themselves?) I've been called this word in school by several blacks, and by god, if I could only do something about it physically back then I certainly would.
I just took it like the scared jew that I am! lolz (Ohh, oh!)
(please excuse me for saying that. I dont actually MEAN it)
In order to root out these things, the black and Jewish communities should "work" with their people, and explain to them where they come from and that they are truly no better or worse than anyone else. We are all just humans.
PS: In Ukraine/Russia, it's perfectly acceptable to call a black man the n-word. The only thing is it's pronounced "Negr".
I havent seen any blacks take offence at this, as they know it's just a word, and comes from a river in Afrika, referring to any man who is black. Note I said man, not woman. Black women are just called black women, or ***** women.
Mabe some blacks would take offence at this, but again, I havent seen or heared of a single one that would.
It's funny how saying "Nigeria" is fine to the whole world, and no one would ever say anything about that. But saying the n-word is wrong..... Why? Simply because of the twisted history of this country.

I am also black. I believe that the word shouldn't be used by anyone. Society thinks that because of how much the word is used these days. You hear it on TV and in songs. Some black people believe that its okay to call other black people N***** but, would get mad if someone from a different race would call them N*****. We should not be hypocrites. I do understand the whole issue behind someone from a different race calling you N*****. But how could you speak on how it's not a good word and then you turn around and allow someone black to call me N*****. I don't want to be called that by anyone.

i exploit the be conscious gay in a derogatory way in an identical thanks to the above, a hangover from my kids (over which i'm getting, yet habit take time to interrupt, dontcha understand), and performance been advised off adequate circumstances for doing in order to allow you to do not forget that this isn't ok. For me the be conscious in that context is totally dissociated from homosexuality, because it likely is on your chum (for in spite of reason, the be conscious black has no longer been loosed of its racial connotations interior of an identical way). yet for sure others, mutually with your self, see the relationship and the derogatory and are top no longer to allow it stand. yet you look to variety of commence a lesson and then bail halfway by potential of. absolutely there's a fashion to describe why you would use the be conscious black without popping out on your human beings? otherwise they're no longer going to get it and basically imagine you're quite a racist, which couldn't be extra from the reality.

I see it this way, there are N!ggers and there are blacks...
N!ggers to me are the ones that think they are so F**ken gangster and they think that White people are responsible for every thing that is wrong in their life's...
Blacks are just every day people who work hard in life and take care of the people who take care of them...
I have black friends and I coach a kids football team with 3 black coaches that are great people and I'm proud to say that they are my Friends & I also have 6 black players that play for me that are great little kids, I also now a lot of N!ggers that I can't stand...

It's a way of telling society that they're "above the situation". No one can tell them it's wrong for them to use the 'N-WORD' and no one else can use it.
Personally, if their self esteem is so low that they need to alienate themselves and make people uncomfortable in order to feel like they are having an impact on their environment, then I want nothing to do with them.
Thank you for not sinking to their level. You are a positive example of how to get on with your life.

the people that DO use it (that are black) look at what they are doing as a term of endearment (just like homie or my boy) so they don't think its inappropriate and should be acceptable for them
I do believe that the word should be banned as a whole. I believe if you use the word you have no basis to stand on against others using it...as wrong as it may be. in order to have a defense: practice what you preach.

The N* word is UNACCEPTABLE to be used! I don't care if it ends with an 'er' 'a' 'ah'. Yet again people have found a way to repeat history and make a mockery of what many people were hung, assasinated, raped and murdered for. All you can do is keep on educating these fools out here that think that it is okay.

Just the thought that we MUST refer to a word as the "N" word is sickening. It is not the spoken word it is the intent to display vulgar hate that is wrong. Black on Black vulgarity is the worst. Not only is someone displaying vulgarity but self deprivation. A people can only be a good as they evaluate themselves.
