I need help. I have dogs, who run and play in the backyard, well this year,, we have had no snow at all in MA , and now my yard looks like all the grass is worn off... will this come back in the spring if i restrict access from the dogs once the ground unfreezes? also any suggestions on getting my lawn to look good after a winter with cold temps and no snow = would be apprecitated

Yes it should grow back - you need to be worried about the dogs trampling the grass during the growing season. I have dogs and dont restrict their access to the back yard so they have worn it down and worn it down until it doesnt grow there anymore - this should not be the case with just one winter of wear and tear.

Your grass will grow back regardless of your dogs. The time to restrict their access is spring.

Why you want to grow grass is a mistery to me. I have an acre. What a waste of time.
