Well the Sun rises in the North East and sets in the North West ,so you should get a small bit of Glancing Sun in the Morning, and when the Sun goes round to the West say from 11 or 12 noon there is a good chance of you getting about 6 to 9 Hours depending on whether it be Summer or Winter, times vary with the Seasons. It also depends if you are overlooked by Walls and Houses shadowing youre House, how big is the Garden, is the House in open Country, is youre House the average Semi D swamped by other Houses. I am afraid you will have to visit the House at various times to see how much Sun you will get.
I take it this is a House you are buying or Renting , a person normally visits the Property a few times to find out what the Neighbourhood is like check out if People are Nice in the locality etc, Mad Dogs and Mad People. Have a good nosy around Introduce yourself to the Nearest Neighbours and at the same time have a good look at the way the Sun Shines on the House . Best Wishes and Good Luck.

North west.... mmm.. well if you sit in your deckchair.. i would think that you would be turning and moving around the garden following the sun. Shining in your windows during the day and one side of the garden at the afternoon. My garden has the sun in it all year round.. ooh.. well when it shines

Not a huge amount, but it will get late afternoon sunshine. There are still loads of plants you can grow, but they will be mainly foliage plants.
