For the unexpected visitors of course.
They are very hospitable are pigs, they bring home the bacon, they cut the fat, although they do wallow in self pity.
Whether they be roast or host you'll be wanting to toast till you wee wee wee all the way home.

Look at their body shape. They were just built to be eaten, all body and small legs.
Long bodies, it would make sense to have more ribs to protect and hold everything together.
Oh, and because God knew they'd be delicious.
