Ignorance mostly. We are conducting a war on terrorism, and unfortunately many people automatically associate muslims as terrorists. They do not know any better.

Many madrassahs teach anti-american points of view and with him running for the United States Presidency this causes a concern. Also people who believe in Islam hijacked four planes and hit three buildings on 9/11.

With all the strife going on today caused by left-wing Muslims everyone is afraid to make a move that seems that it can hurt them and others. I read the Qu'ran and most of it is a good book. It follows Babylonian and Hebrew law which Mohammed liked very much. The only part that is awful is the section on Jihad. I read it several times and had it translated by a professor of religion from Pakistan just to make sure that my translation was correct (it was) and I was very upset. There is no question in my mind that Mohammed made it clear that the world should become Muslim. He also expressed a cold point if view (I am putting it nicely) toward Christians and Jews. Mohammad wasn't a hero or the Messenger of God in my view. The Qu'ran is a political expression of his time and he preached violence and reward to those who created this violence. End my discrimination toward the Muslim faith. No way!

Obama is not a Muslim. Most Muslims are good people, but there are some really bad people in all groups too. American eyes cannot be "opened" while most people believe in the current hysteria and brainwashing that is being shoved down their throats. Even cartoon characters can be considered terrorists here. The best advice I can give you is - give it a rest. Things will eventually go back to a more normal state - soon I hope.
