Someone who is willing to hold your head when you puke from drinking too much AND will tell you how much of an *** you were when you sober up.
The holding the head and speaking the truth about the situation later are symbolic of what I mean.
Another example might be someone who will jump in between you and another to prevent a fight but will then call you on being a dick if you started it.
Its not just about doing nice things, its about also calling others on it when they don't - nice doesn't mean doormat. Teaching a child to be a selfish whiner by giving them everything they ask for is not nice to the child - in the end, its cruel to everyone around that child.

I believe empathy must come first, because without it all other attributes of character are either flickle or simply fabricated. A nice person must be able to empathize with others and comprehend how they feel. Then, they must prioritize how others feel and wish to do no harm to others. These two go hand in hand, and if a person possesses both qualities they can learn how to ensure their actions don't harm others. They will already have the drive to help.

I try to be. I admit I'm not always nice, I do have a temper. If I've lashed out at someone for no good reason, or I unintentionally hurt someone's feelings, I always make it my priority to apologise. I do try to be gracious In all my dealings with people. I'm always honest with them, never lie. And if there's money involved, I like to see everyone profit fairly.

A very nice person not only thinks about other people in a good way, but also feels it in their heart. A genuinely nice person has a beautiful heart. Many people are outwardly beautiful, but having a beautiful heart is priceless.

The nicest people I know follow the golden rule - they do unto others as they would have them do unto them. I think most "very nice" people are pretty comfortable with themselves, and do not feel like they have to prove themselves, belittle others, be sarcastic, or step on someone to get where they are going.
"Nice guys finish last" but "Nice guys" are nice guys....and they don't mind finishing after you or someone else....they know they will still finish "nice"

One who can be there when you need them to be and at the same time can stay out of your life and business when they should-that is a friend. Nice -kind -considerate-polite-truthful. One who is as nice to others as they can be. Honest with their feelings and all else
