This is a very tricky question. One is powered by the Ancient Greek Gods, and the other is an Alien from another world that gains powers from our Yellow Sun. Depending on your version of each, the answer can vary by a large degree.
Therefore, I will use the current versions pre-infinite crisis as this did feature a battle between them in the Sacrifice arc of the Superman and Wonder Woman comics. Superman and Wonder Woman are both more powerful than mortals and possess abilities such as super strength and flight. Superman also has a variety of other powers, and Wonder Woman has her Lasso of Truth. This one item itself actually is the piece that will throw the battle into Wonder Woman’s Favor. By placing this around Superman, he is only able to do truthful things, which would prevent him from using any of his powers to harm Wonder Woman, no matter what Superman is being influenced by. Also, a point to make here, Superman will not kill, but Wonder Woman has in the past killed and justified it. Now, I am not going to debate what that makes of her, I will just use it to say she will go to whatever lengths she needs to in order to beat someone she feels she must.
Another thing again to point out is althought Superman is nearly invulnerable, he does have several weaknesses. Kryptonite and Magic are high on that list, and Magic is something that Wonder Woman can easily get her hands on from the Amazons and the Greek Gods, which also throws the fight into her favor.
I am not saying either one would easily win a fight, because both are pretty evenly matched, it would just be a matter of who needed to win more, which would change greatly the tactics they use in this battle.

Depends on the comparison. If you're comparing the two of them, one to the other, the definitive answer is Superman. If your comparing them as the archetype of hero vs heroine, the question must change. There are so many powerful male heroes, that even though he is the epitome, Superman is not as powerful seeming as Wonderwoman over most other heroines. There are a few more powerful than her, but not more heroic. So the basic premise becomes, compared to each other, Superman is much stronger and has numerous powers vs Wonder Woman. Hope that helps. A better question might have been, Who would be more powerful Superman and Wonder Woman or Silver Surfer and Nova?

it is an annoying one using fact superman and thor are relatively solid . they have have been given a power very almost like HULK(my opinion) yet ask your self woman is nohing compard to superma and thor.i think of that thor has extra effective strikes like thunder ingredient yet superman is a littler extra extra desirable in strenght

Superman. Wonder Women can get killed by bullets etc.
She cant fly. No super x-ray vision stuff either.
But she is better looking!
