Does anyone out there know about the us merchant marine academy. Like how many people apply and What it takes to get in. Like GPA, ACT, activities, and community service. This is my dream to be in this academy. So any info is greatly app. and who ever gives me a good answer get 10 POINTS.

Well, blow me down! There really is an academy! The link is below.

My father was a merchant marine for many years, and I never heard of an academy. The Merchant Marines are a union, not a government entity like the Marines or Navy. So maybe this is a new thing, and I'm not quite as far out of it as I thought?
