I just found out yesterday that I have pink eye. How long do I need to wait until I can get back to normal and start wearing makeup again? I know I can't wear the makeup I used before because I don't want to infect my eyes again.

As soon as the redness goes away you should be okay. Make sure that you wash everything. I had pink eye three times back to back one time, come to find out it was from my computer keyboard. I would touch my eye, rub it or whatever, and type, then I would get the same germs all over again.

At least a month because now your eyes are very sensitive and hurt. Wait till your eyes heal and then start wearing makeup again.

get some eye drop and you pink eye should be gone in a few days. try not to wear any makeup at all till the pink eye is gone. not only will you get germs all over you makeup but it will also make your pink eye worse. good luck

You shouldn't wear any make up until you have taken all your medicine for the infection. Definitely throw out your old make up pink eye is very contagious. I'm sure you already know this, but if you wear contacts don't wear any until the infection is gone, and make sure that you throw out your old used lenses.

even after the pink eye itself goes away, it can still contaminate your makeup...you should be safe wearing lipstick/gloss obviously, and maybe even concelaer/foundation, but give any eye make up 2-3 weeks

Like everyone else said..wait til it clears and throw everything away! I've had it in the past too..returned 3 different occasions. My doc told me it's like cold sores, a virus. Once you get it it, you have it forever. I haven't had it in years and years, but I know it could happen again!

It takes usually about a week or less to go away. It took my friend 4 days.

well i think you should wait for a week b/c pinkeye doesn't come off easily....and i recommend not to use that eyeliner or liquid because that's probably infected already.
