1 cm = 10 mm
16.2 x 1 cm = 16.2 x 10mm

its simply units 1cm is 10mm

on a side note... I have seen some of your "math" questions... are you just lazy or are these really hard for you ? because these should be answered easily by.. opening your text book

Follow this rule--mm to cm, multiply by 100; cm to dm, multiply by 10.
dm to cm, divide by 10; cm to mm divide by 100.

multiply 6.2 by 10 or more simply, just move the decimal place one plave to the right

so u get 162mm =]
