Styles change. It also depends on where you see them. For example, some women may keep them short due to their work.
Right now, my nails are about a half inch past the tip of my fingers. Several of my friends have long or medium length nails as well.
As for what length looks best, it depends largely on the shape of the woman in questions hands, fingers and the condition of their nails in general.

I have short nails to be honest I have short nails.And the answer for the question is no because kids at my school have long nails because they don't bite them.And to keep long have nail polish on as long as possible.

Long, talon-like nails are definitely out...especially with dark nail polish. I think about the longest that a person can pull off is about a quarter of an inch past the fingertips.

I think the long nails are still kinda in but they are hard to maintain, i like to keep my nails short because i hate having dirt under my nails and i dont have to worry about them painfully breaking.

As far as I can tell, long nails are out, as are acrylic nails. Short, trimmed, manicured nails are definitely the way to go. They're low-maintenance, and they look professional.

my nails dont grow i know it sounds weird but its true and if my nails do grow just a little the break off. i hate wearing fake nails because they slow me down at work and i cant get used to them

short nails are easy to maintain, that's probably why you see so many girls w/ short nails.

where i am long nails are in I'm growing my nails out , i love them but if you like long nails then grow them or keep them health and clean so they will grow, but if you like short then keep cutting them, but it is all what you want to do.
i prefer long nails.

Long nails are so trendy! If you wear french manicure it's necessary ti have long nails.
The best lenght is between half inch and one inch.
