Do you think that when someone commits suicide that they don't move on to the other side? Are they stuck here? What is your opinion?

truly no one should answer because no one knows. everyone bases their belief on something someone wrote down. what proof does anyone really have? and sorry no psychic is going to tell you that they spoke with so-and-so and they're fine. again sure that may work for someone who believes in that stuff, but for nearly every religion in the world that doesn't then it's a contradiction.

my true opinion...life is short in the cosmic scheme of things. why not make the most of it? the easiest thing in the world is to give up. everyone should face their fears, challenges head on and overcome them. you may get defeated, but you can learn from it.

as for going to hell...isn't that rough? let's take for example the people in the world trade center. the ones who chose to jump instead of being burned alive...so their fate is hell because they made a choice?

also there was a city of christians that was going to be overtaken by the romans, but instead of being overtaken they all chose suicide. again was their fate hell?

my final thought since religion always leads to these kinds of things...if anyone were truly religious they would look after orphans and widows and not be polluted by the world.

really no one knows
There really is no proof of what exists on the other side mostly you kind of have to be dead to know, or reborn or whatever.
I guess you could say your religon or whatever you belive in is right nd what it says, will happen but there really is no guratee to which religon is right and which is wrong. I guess you just need to find your own gon and decide what you believe in. But surely there is an afterlife because i really dont think a higher power would actully send someone to hell as most people would say. Also to those that do you say that you'll get a one way ticket t hell ask them about what happens to a child who dies 2 months after they are born.
But really to tell you the truth no person really know what exists in the afterlife beacsue no person has reallly arose from the dead to tell us.
Also if your thinking about suicide thats prbably not a good thing, and I would Highly advise aginst It becasue if you end your life it will never get better. You need to live your life to its fullest extent> Thats all Ive got to say becasue its those hard times that get you through the even harder times and it definetley will make those good times seem like heaven.

I really don't know, but maybe it's not only that they commit suicide, also what kind of idea they have when committing it. For instance:

- Samurai warriors thought of it as the most honorable step after failure or their lord's death and 'hara-kiri' was ritualized.

- Christians believe it's a sin and suiciders go to hell.

- Catars, in southern France, thought that when someone's reached a certain level of wisdom, there's nothing left for him to do on Earth and they can perfectly commit suicide.

- Greek old people, back in the ancient times, sometimes preferred to die of a 'sweet death' (Euthanasia) rather than from decrepity or a painful illness.

- Muslim kamikazes are told that dying for Allah ensures them a place in Heaven, with many pleasures and an entire Harem of women.

So... look for samurai, catar, ancient Greek and Muslim kamikazes' spirits to find it out... hehehe ;-)

It's usually depicted on movies about spirits that they remain on Earth because they have some kind of unresolved matter.

I was lead to believe by one person that people who commit suicide become servants like a dog or a cat.If you weren't a nice person or some angel didn't like you they might make you a junkyard dog instead of someones pet. I remember one junkyard dog who broke her chain and came home with me.She used to write a name with a stick and would say certain peoples names in a really weird yet recognizable way. Many people it would seem are stuck or want to be on this side. Maybe heaven is just some boring waiting room with elevator music.

It depends why they committed suicide, if they have a mental problem where they don't have the all of their marbles together, they go to the other side and get counseling if they kill themselves b/c of a selfish reason, like I think I am ugly and have no friends, then those people go straight back into uteri and start a new life over that will have the same challenges as the one they gave up on.

Im not really sure. I guess that every case would be different. I know for a fact that it is a VERY BAD thing to do.
Some people see it as the end to their problems...I see it as the beginning.

It depends on the nature and intensity of the suicide.

Personally, I believe that it would depend. Some may stay here, while others move on to the Other World or are reincarnated.

Truly the "best" answer to this question is, Ask YOUR personal higher power, and see what happens. If you want MY vote I would say what "Diomedes" said. in the space above. His looks like the best answer I see.

It depends on your religion and your beliefs. Personally, I believe that some souls are reborn and some aren't. Death is death and makes no real difference.
