I hooked my ipod up to the computer via the USB cable. All I get is the battery indicator with a lightning bolt. I am assuming that's because it's dead, but why won't it charge??

I have had it hooked up forever it seems like. How long does it take to charge??

that means it is charging. when you get the battery symbol with the plug it is fully charged.

If it is brand new, you have to wait till the batery is down to first charge it! If not you just have to make sure it is plugged in corectly, and don't listen to what it says on the screen. It will be loaded when the green light turns off!

it is charging, with the lightning bulb and wont move or it could be that it is charged. hpe that could help or if not just take it to a store that can see what's up with it

it's charging when you have a pic like aplug that means it's done. ipods take a long time to charge my freinds can take all night to cahrge if it is that dead
