Just about any degree in the Liberal Arts would qualify you for a career in Publishing or Journalism at the outset. This is at the undergraduate level.
When you consider further formal educational options, Jouralism graduate school programs would come to mind, but Graduate programs in communications are also pertinent and applicable.
More than anything, I believe you need and overwhelming passion for the printed word, a deep rooted commitment to communicating your perspective and a belief in the power of communication and what importance this plays in the welfare of our culture overall.
If you find it difficult to put any magazine down, that is magazines of consistent quality and judicious editorial principle, than you are on the track to a career you are likely to enjoy and find rewarding on many levels.
Sincerely,
Michael
