Ok well i dont really like to use the term "popular" but i am very popular in my school. I know that when people are trying to impress me and my firends the thing that usually catches our eyes are the people that are more outgoing than shy, have a good sense of style, have lots of nice compliments, and dont act like your wicked shy around them just go up and start talking to them. Kind of slip yourself in when there talking and start in on there conversation. Before you know it you'll hav lots of popular friends.

It seems a bit odd that you would be one way at school and then another outside of school. Are the kids in your class that intimidating? Don't worry, just be your fun self and people will come around. One of the answers said to join some clubs or something - that could start the ball rolling.

You seem to be lacking self confidence hence your disability to talk to your classmates. They can probably sense this self insecurity so they make fun of you. You should engage in active oral participation in classes- do the work, show you know what you're talking about. People will see theres a side to you that they don't know. A confident, self secure side with a personality and they'll want to know you themselves. Then treat them as friends, dont blank them. You've singled yourself out by being quiet so you need to help yourself to make friends.

i know how you feel. Are you in any clubs?? Band?? You just have to try harder. I was sooo shy in high school and now in college I am also very shy, but in groups and stuff i am outspoken and i am not afraid to answer. I understand how it feels, but i have no real answer for you. All I can say is there are lots of people like you and me, and we just have to keep trying harder. Try to smile more and when you get into groups or something, just open up and let them see the real you.

You have everything you need to succeed; its within you. You have the power. The problem is day after day you give that power away by thoughts like 'if I say this, they'll think I'm weird and my life's over.' Please discern the truths in thoughts like this! Positive thinking on the other hand, tend to send out good vibes about the positive thinker. Letting negatives thoughts rule over you will result in negative effects. So, as you start a fresh new day choose the effect that will benefit you. And have a wonderful day.

If you don't have any friends at the present time this is your chance to do something for yourself and better yourself. Make people jealous with your smile and laughter. make it seem as if you don't want anything to do with them. when they are all talking act like you are doing something that is more important then feeling like a loner. walk with your head up and not down
