when we started hanging out he told me later that he had a girl but still came around to be with me now we have a child and after tough times and bad blood i wonder does he still care??????????

My brother and I both agree on this situation.
As soon as you heard that he had a girl, you should've left him alone from there. Now, you have a child (All children are blessings, by the way) and he's "around." I REALLY hope you are not the type that feels that "A piece of man is better than no man at all."
I know what'll happen next. What's going to happen is that he'll visit less and less, then he will stop visiting altogether. If he's giving you money for the baby, it'll be a smaller amount over time, then that'll stop. The best thing for you to do is hit him up for Child Support. That should be your First Priority above all else. Find a decent lawyer, and get what you can from him. It'll also expose him to his girl, that is if she doesn't know about his cheating ways.
He made his feelings clear, in my eyes by cheating on his girl. He MIGHT break up with her to get with you, but then what? You worry about him cheating on you with the next girl? Do you really want to live your life like that? Worry about his faithfullness to you and your baby? I don't see that as a feasable, reasonable relationship. you don't need to be with him, but he does need to be in your child's life. If not, your child will grow up resenting him for the rest of his/her life. As far as speaking about him being there for your baby, I'm speaking from experience. My Biological Father made promises, and didn't keep them. I only saw him one time, and that was that.
I hope he's a good father as opposed to a good lover.

leave him! YOu dont need him if he is nto around for the child AND you at the same time. I think you should find a good gu that is a family man and then you will have more children that you love to death as well.
