I like it when people initiate thoughtful, open-minded discourse, and I think Yahoo has done a great job with the interface, etc.

I hate it when people are uninformed and just blasting away about something they love or hate under the guise of asking a question. I hate it when people are so inarticulate that I can't even figure out what question is being asked.

I hate learning that so many young people are all of the above, in addition to being shallow, lacking focus, and caught up in self-created dramas instead of just living life!

I spend WAY too much time here.

Great question, by the way.

Hi. The thing I like is being able to possibly help people. The thing I dislike is that some people are crude. Yes, I do spend too much time here. LOL.

Yahoo Answers is a good time waster, some good laughs, and occasionally you can learn something or help someone. I don't like the bigots, those who are nasty just to be nasty, even though I think most all words are acceptable in the right context, and the da** spammers, trolls.
Me, spend too much time here?? Well really not any more I found another place to hang out, but I really use to. E-mail me to find out my alternative. No spam or advertising here!!

I like to share my knowledge and I learn a lot from other answerers in areas in which I don't have education or experience. I do spend a lot of time on Yahoo but it is a form of relaxation for me. What I don't like is that sometimes people vote for answers as being best just because they found them humourous, not because they were correct, informative or even right.

I like helping people when I can, but I don't like it when people have stupid answers and I hate it when people spell things wrong, including me (sometimes). I don't think I spend that much time here, do I?

People (mainly kids) asking questions like some I've seen today:

Would Alexander the Great be good in bed

Would you suck a (bleep)

I also can't stand poor spelling.

I chime in on Answers when I have boring moments at work.

like - the flippant, smart, smart@ss, intelligent, dumb, dumb@ss, colloquial answers and questions.

dislike - the questions that get to stay on and in TOTAL violation and mine don't even get posted then deleted. It's like some kind of filtering that chops mine. Also they're cracking down on game pointing tactics.

Yes, too much time especially on the company's time.

I like it because I "get asked" questions I would never expect to get asked, because it stimulates my mind, because I can get "points" (sadly, not trade able) for it, and because I like reading the answers other people give.
I know some people don't like the "smart" answers, but sometimes (note "sometimes") these are the best.

Dan I like it because I can be aloof. And yes I evade things and use Yahoo answers.
