A bill is being proposed to BAN incandescent light bulbs by 2012 and to be replaced with only florescent. Wassup with that???

Oh yeah we gonna ban the bulb. I wonder what's next. I know, a year in jail if you spank a kid. Oh that's right, that's under consideration too...

BTW. If everyone in California, except elected officials of course, cut our power consumption by 80% they would be screaming for more in less than 5 years. The power problem has been known and understood for at least 20 years. The problem is all the people in a position to do anything about it are too busy setting on their hands and lining their pockets...

Good idea. Compact florescents use about 20 percent of the electricity of incandescents. That means 80 percent less greenhouse gases produced to run them. If you want your children to inherit a habitable planet, that's just the start of what we must do.

Though it seems a little extreme, it's an excellent idea. It is in line with more fuel efficient cars. We as a nation consume too much of the Earth's natural resources. I say, 'Bravo, California.'

That's the government for you! They are taking our rights, one by one, and we're just letting them. But, tidy whities can go. I think they look silly in the first place.
