His dad is Danny Wilson who is from Wales. Eventhough Ryan Giggs played for England boys he has never been allowed to play for England because he has no relatives who are English. He only played for England boys because he went to school and grew up in Manchester.

Ryan Giggs played football for England as a schoolboy.I think his Dad played Rugby League for Great Britian.Think he plays for Wales because his Mum is Welsh,but thats only when Fergueson says he can.

he comes from the splott area in cardiff..he played rugby union for cardiff and then switched codes to rugby league when he signed for salford, hence the move to manchester where he met ryans mum..they got divorced and he moved back to cardiff..ryan played schoolboy football for england cos at that level you play for the country you go to school in but was able to play for wales as his did is welsh..they reckon alex ferguson encouraged him to play for wales as it meant he would play less matches and not be invoved in world cup finals etc as wales neva qualify!!!!
