has anyone had a problem with the bt home hub lately
my connection is there,i ran a ping test and it returned a fast speed,a round trip of 24ms(milliseconds)
but when i tried to connect to the yahoo homepage the browser stalls, its not a virus or spyware as all my p.c,s(4) have the same problem
i can only get yahoo by resetting the hub and then its fine,
could it be the home hub updating,or could it be it overheating
anyway i will see how long it is before it goes off again, hopefully it wont
thanks

By definition, a hub is a fairly low tech device and is cheaply made. I would think that you probably have a failure somewhere in it.

If you have a few bucks, go out and get a 4 port brand name router. Its MUCH safer than a hub, and usually lasts 5 times longer. Since you have 4 pc's now, you might want to consider an 8 port model, or even wireless.

Hi Brian, ive had a homehub for over a year now(on my second one the first one just died). Ive never experienced any Yahoo related problems, however i would say once or twice in the past fortnight ive gone to click on a link and the browser has done nothing, kind of as if its just not registering(All 4 lights still on front of the hub). Ive had to pull the power plug out the back and re-connect and then fine working:-/

Log onto Bt Broadband help website, they will send a server via your ethernet cable and help you as you correctly set up your home network. The operator takes over your computer from Bt's end and they do it all for you - it's 24 hours service too.
