The first clue is the second hand. If it ticks, the rolex is fake. If it "sweeps," that is, moves smoothly, then it's more likely to be real.
Take it to a jeweler.

A real Rolex must be purchased in a reputable shop not on a street corner. As for the motion of the hands the fakes are getting better at that and the the good fakes are heavy it is really hard to tell unless you bring it to a jeweler.

The second hand has a quartz movement not a sweeping
hand like most watches. Rolex watches always weigh a bit more.

the big hand is suppose to sweep very slowly and not tick if it ticks then it is fake
