I was in full blown labor with contractions every 1-2 minutes and still had to wait to register with the hospital so this is indeed a lie. I also had to fill out discharge papers as well. As far as the hospital not allowing her to hold or touch her deceased child that is a lie as well hospitals allow the parents to say their goodbyes and what not so again another lie

Ok, let me play the devil's advocate here. Say she was alone (i.e. no one else to fill out paper work for her) and it was an emergency situation. Is it possible she didn't fill anything out before they rushed her up? Yes. If its an extreme emergency, they won't make someone wait while paperwork is filled out. Nurses may ask questions and fill things out as the rush, but she may well have never filled out an admissions paper. Ok, so the baby dies: are they going to run right in and make her fill out papers? Maybe not. Is it possible she got up and slipped out without them seeing? Its possible. All I'm saying here is, don't jump her case. What would be gained from it? If she's lying, all you'll do is provoke her and a person that makes up such a tale is sick to begin with. Best of luck.

You can't just go to the hospital and fill nothing out. They have records of everything. The hospital takes care of the birth certificates and death certificates as well. She might not have one physically in her hand ... but there is one if she had a child.
Check with the county records office wherever you are ... see if they can help you.
Why the interest in it now???

I work for a hospital and registration and discharge is always necessary, It is a law they can not treat a patient without consent. The discharge is necessary to cover the hospitals liability it states when to have follow and what to do after discharge as far as meds or any specials orders go. I would not believe her if I was you.

i would say yes... when you first go to the hosptial you ahve to register.... you'd have to fill out something, no matter what happened. talk to her, talk to the hospital if you dont believe her. they'd have some record of it. they'd have to.
