I do both read and watch films ,can't wait for the new ones.
Although i do prefer the books as more is in them and get annoyed at some bits missed in the film.

I have never picked up one of the books, I watched all the movies and don't intend to read one until all the books come out in a box set so I don't have to spend a lot of money on them. Watch the films

I watch and read them both. The movies usually have to cut out a lot of the book because the books are so long.

Read the books. The movies are a lot of fun, and each one gets better than the one before it. But there's so much of the plot left out that one can hardly understand Harry or his situation without reading the books. I respect the creators of each different medium, but the HP stories are first and foremost books.

Iv skimmed a couple of the books but I haven't sat down and really read any of them right through. I find I enjoy the movie more than the reading part of it even if they don't put the entire book into the movie.

that's a private decision. each and every physique has diverse likes and dislikes. you're questioning, how can somebody desire Harry Potter over Lord Of The earrings, yet human beings might ask your self why you like Lord Of The earrings over Harry Potter. that's an argument of opinion and flavor. yet each and every physique could get exhilaration from observing the movies they love and analyzing the books they love.

Books beat films by miles. The films are too rushed (mainly because of the vast amount of story they have to cover) and are directed mainly by potboiler moneyspinner directors. The exception was Azkaban - Alfonso Cuaron - brilliant.
But I do catch each film on or near first showing anyway. Hope over experience.

I love the books I re-read HBP and OOP to get ready for the next book and for the next movie. Enjoy watching the movies wtih my family we are astounded at how the actors are growing up before our eyes. I prefer the books but always see the movies and buy them and re watch them. We play at work sometimes pretending to cast jinx and hexs at eachother..making up charms and hexs....oh by the way i am 42 and perfectly normal!

The movies come out so much later than the books. I read the books right when they come out and then watch the movies right before they come out. (the 7th book is comming july 21!)
