how do I save a particular website with this new Internet Explorer 7.0?

Beside the star in the left corner of your explorerer window is another set up symbols, the star and + button, click on that and you will see the "add to favorites" link.

Click on th favorites button on the top left corner.

Go to "File"
click "Save As"
choose "webpage complete html"

Bookmark?

Sounds like you need to right click the toolbar, and check
the menu bar, to get it back looking like your use to,
then just hit favorites/bookmark
