Favorite dinner, plus dessert is always a good idea, but as a backup plan..in case he has something planned for that night that you dont know about, do it at least one day early. Valentine's Day as it is celebrated today can be any day you choose. We should just all remember to Celebrate the ones we love throughout the year.
As a secondary... A good movie.. a couple beers and pizza with intent afterward to do something HE wants. (This is where i have to compromise because I have limitations, lol.) I will not see Taxi again!

Well, personally I always appreciate a gift that my significant other put something of herself into. Not sure if you mean you bought him a gift basket, or you really made the basket? See what I mean.
Anybody can go out and buy something, but the extra effort and thought put into making something for your guy is a cut above.

First, agreed, no point in being rude. We ALL misspell at times!
There are many things you might wish to do, depending on your budget. I will confine my suggestions to those of relatively low cost, even if you do more than one, a tenner ought to suffice...
If he likes sweets, then a small box combined with a little stuffed animal holding a heart... Bake his favourite biscuits, maybe decorate with a bit of icing coloured red.
If you want to spend a bit more, you might want to buy a tasteful "bedroom outfit" that leaves some to the imagination, wrap it and put in a note, "This fits me, but it is really for you!''
I hope these suggestions help, at one time or the other they have reached my heart...

For $3.99 I just seen the curest thing in a card store (Hallmark or Carlton cards)
It's a box with 20 wishes (massage, back rub, 1/2 hour of cuddling etc..)
They also has some pretty neat animated bears and dogs that play love songs

Valentines Days is the best!
Treat your boyfriend to anything he wants. Such as his favorite resturant, game, band, concert, anything!
Make him dinner! Find out what his favorite dish is.
Breakfast in bed is always a great idea.
Surprise him with that special something he told you he wanted even though he assumed you didn't remember he wanted it. Remembering things he wants and surprising him with it is the best!

I think you should just get a nice red lingerie set, wrap a red bow around you and get rose pedals for around the bedroom. Make him chocolate covered strawberries and leave them next to the bed. Let him find you in your room wearing the lingerie, have music playing so you can dance for him, then feed each other the strawberries. It will be his best valentines day

when it was valentines day last year, my bf and i went to dinner and then watched a romantic movie i got. to give him the gift basket, i would say out it like behind a door or in a shelf(depending on the size) and then ask him to get you something behind the door or in the shelf, he'll be totally awed when he sees it! hope it helps! God bless you and your boyfriend.

ok, u wanna show ur BF u care...dont ask to much questions, try to answers all his Q's, try to open nice useful conversations not the ones who soon become arguments, try to cover for his mistakes and stand for his bullshit, if you plan to go out somewhere dont take to much time changing which makes him wate for you, you wate for him and let him choose the place by telling dont care aslong i am with you, and try not to talk about the future, cos boys hate to predict
