Soccer has the world Cup, Curling both mens and womens has the Ford World's Curling Championship. Those are the only two that i can think of, and of course golf has the players championship, Olympics mostly for the other sports

Of the sports listed only football(I assume you mean soccer) has a "world championship" event.
It's called the World Cup
