If you ate 1/2 of whatever you normally eat for a month. Not really changing what you eat just reducing it drastically. Thanks.

IT COULD HELP, BUT it could also lead to malnutrition. It's better if you eat normally, and slowly over time try to make the following changes.....

1. Eat less bread - less foods with breads will lower the amount of carbohydrates you consume in a day. Breads, cereals, pastas, noodles, cakes, muffins, dinner rolls, etc - anything made with bread should be eaten in SMALL amounts, and no bread products after 6pm - you don't want them in your stomach when you go to sleep as they will just sit there.

2. Eat less starch - starchy foods like Potatoes, rice, corn, bananas, noodles, etc - starch becomes sugar in your body, leading to more weight gain.

3. Excercise - get plenty of excercise, even if it's nothing more than walking for an hour or two each day. As you get used to your workout (no matter how fast or slow it is) slowly try to increase it a little bit at a time, perhaps once every 3 to 4 weeks - it will take time, but you will notice an improvement over time.

Yes, eating smaller portions works, it's calorie control. To lose 1 pund a week, you need to cu out x amount of calories, depending on how much you weigh.
