I can't ever remember being unhappy or not content. Of course there have been sad events such as deaths in the family but I am simply happy to be alive.

I became even more happy and content when I quit my job to stay home, school our son and run a new business.

Life just keeps getting better and better !!

There were many points in my life I knew that my happiness and contentment were truly fulfilled.
For example in my childhood in my grandmothers garden, watching the vegies and fruits grow.
Then when older knowing without doubt that "GOD" exists. Feeling the Light energy streaming through me.
Experiencing that there is always a meaning for everything what happens to me. Even if it was something painful, it added to my understanding of what GOD wants from us. Although I am still on my journey, and I experience a change between good and less good times, I feel content and fulfilled to know that help is always near and that in your darkest hour GOD`s help is nearest.
I felt content and fulfilled when I understood more the meaning of suffering. Why one gets sick and if the person learns his or her lesson healing can occur. (Sure not in all instances, if you smoke, are overweight, eat too much unhealthy stuff, this does not apply).
In these moments, when I felt myself embedded in a meaningful world, feeling surrounded with abundance of help, knowing that I am here to develop, knowing that life goes on, this made me really feel deeply happy and content and connected with GOD.
I felt also very happy when holding my baby son in my arms for the first time.

I don't know if anyone is ever truly happy and fulfilled. Happiness and fulfillment comes at us one at a time. Sometimes we are happy and content and the next day we feel down and feel so unfulfilled. It is not a process, it is a journey.

I agree with Anthony. Our happy, content times will come off and on, just as our unhappy, discontented times do. Life is a journey of ups and downs...and really, if we don't have the downs, how will we know we have the ups?

As a kid, I had some goals I wanted to achieve:
1- I wanted to be a pilot, Air Force, Navy, Marines didn't matter
2- I wanted to be stationed Germany at least once in my career
3- I wanted to be an Aggressor.
Never was much interested in making huge piles of cash, or "fame". However, I did want to live comfortably, so I could go where I want; or buy what I want-when I want.
I achieved all of these, and picked up a Master's Degree in a subject I was interested in.
As to when, it would have to be when I was a young Captain. I realized I did what set out to do-and after that became self-actualized.

I won't be happy and content until I'm dead.
