Aviator:

I don't recall Iran funding or even helping the 9-11 terrorists. Actually, Iran was supporting Shah Massoud, the Afghan rebel who was fighting the Taliban, who were/are the protectors of Bin Laden and company.

In the early days of the invasion of Afghanistan by the Talibans (in the early 90s), the Talibans seized and executed Iranian embassy employs, prompting Iran to mobilize troops and tanks along the Afghan border. Had Iran attacked the Taliban, 9-11 might not have ever occurred. Now that is food for thought.

Because we have an ounce of common sense.

Terrorist units did not operate in Iraq because Saddam did rule with an iron fist, and did not like terrorists. They were considered a threat to stability. The terrorists that hit us on 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia primarily. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, even according to Bush. Yes, Bush openly admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

And you got your mythology ref. wrong by the way. He sliced off the multiple heads one by one singing the stumps as he went, not tearing off limbs.

9/11 is a logical fallacy known as a Straw man, basically a argument that has no bearing on the discussion that is intended to put the other person on a defensive.

Invading Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism it is a means to an end in the US and others financial interests regarding the future of who controls the Middle East.
Our government wants citizens to be afraid of Muslims instead of them and the fact that slowly but surely we are becoming a Fascist country looking towards globalization of a New World Order!
I didn't say it GHW Bush did in a speech on September 11, 1990 to Congress.
Check it out for yourself.

Wishful thinking . On one hand , terrorists make statements saying they will attack us ; on the other hand , liberals in office tell them terrorism is not a threat . Common sense tells you terrorists have attacked on our soil several times and they don't quit trying - but liberals have no common sense if they can not see that their liberal politicians are not concerned with the peace they claim they are . They're depleting our military - as a stepping stone toward Communism & Socialism . President Bush's War on Terrorism , in the eye of the likes of Kerry & the Clinton's & those like them - is a war on their Communism & Socialism ambitions .

Actually, they didn't fund terrorist and train them. Iraq was a secular state and Saddam hated almost every terrorist organization, including those who attacked us.

But since you are for going to war with countries that DID fund and train them, I assume you would support wars with Iran and Saudi Arabia? And I am also assuming you are not happy with the Afghanistan war, as OBL is still not caught?

Wrong Mcbob this liberal is responding! We do support our troops, it is the reasons we are over in Irag that we don't support.
It is all of the lies Bush told us as reasons for going over there.
We need to find the cowardly son of a brat that caused 9/11.
Not clean up mistakes Bush Sr. made when he ran the
White House. Irag is a private matter now. We need to pull out
of there and resume our hunt for Bin Laden and bring his sorry
rump to justice. Why aren't you ranting about that?

Funny, Democrats said Saddam was supporting terrorism.....

---- "To authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq.

....Whereas Congress has taken steps to pursue vigorously the war on terrorism through the provision of authorities and funding requested by the President to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such persons or organizations; ...

...Whereas the United States is determined to prosecute the war on terrorism and ******Iraq’s ongoing support for international terrorist groups ****** combined with its development of weapons of mass destruction in direct violation of its obligations under the 1991 cease-fire and other United Nations Security Council resolutions make clear that it is in the national security interests of the United States and in furtherance of the war on terrorism that all relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions be enforced, including through the use of force if necessary; ....

"Bullspit they funded the terrorist and trained them."

This statement by you, agreed with by your buddy Mcnitwit here, even after everything showing it to be false, is why most people in the US and the world disagree with you. It must be nice to live in fantasyland, where you can make up stuff until everything fits your ideas of what's real.

I have to assume you are writing from the battlefield somewhere near Baghdad or Tikrit - or maybe Afghanistan. Anyone with your zeal and grasp of the situation would certainly strap on your gun and join up. You certainly wouldn't sit at home in front of your wide-screen in your shorts spouting the noble cause of getting your socks blown off in an illegal war. Would you?
